Favourite driver? Favourite team: Lando/ McLaren

When did you start watching F1?

I can’t really pinpoint a time, I’ve always been watching it since I was little but I remember quite well Sebastian’s RBR era.

Favourite race? Most memorable race?

My favourite race has to be Brazil 2012! It was crazy and so fun to watch. The most memorable for me has to be Canada 2019 because I will never forget Seb switching the number plates for 1st and 2nd place.

Favourite racing commentary moment?

My favourite racing commentary moment is “But here comes Sebastian Vettel!” There was so much surprise and emotion in the commentary and it never fails to put a smile on my face. I could replay that moment forever!

My favourite commentary moment is quite simply hearing “it’s lights out and away we go”. It’s unrivalled. The feeling it gives me is immense!

Favourite driver/favourite team? Fernando Alonso /Aston Martin and Red Bull?

When did you start watching F1?

F1 was always in the background but I hated all sports when I was younger but I started getting into sports at the end of high school and when I found motorsports it became my passion. F1 is now among my favourite sports and have been a fan for a while.

Favourite race? Silverstone or Monza

Most memorable race?
Qatar 2021 (Seeing Fernando Alonso back on the podium was amazing!)

Favourite racing commentary moment?

Crofty’s commentary after Pierre Gasly won at Monza in 2020 (all Crofty commentary is amazing)

Frankie

Favourite driver? Favourite team: Lando Norris, Sebastian Vettel, Daniel Ricciardo and McLaren.

When did you start watching F1?

I started watching in 2019, but I’ve been aware of it for my whole life.

Favourite race?

Every year at Monza. The best commentary, the diverse race winners and unpredictable nature gives an amazing race each year.

Most memorable race?

2021 Hungarian Grand Prix as the race start situation led to 6 DNF’s and the unexpected points scored by Latifi in P7.

Favourite racing commentary moment?

David Croft’s commentary at the British GP in 2022, in the final laps ‘Off goes Leclerc, THROUGH GOES HAMILTON!

Favourite driver? Favourite team: Lando, McLaren

When did you start watching F1?

I started watching in 2021 but just before the title fight started to get really intense. An interesting first season for sure!

Favourite race?

Monza 2021 was so fun to watch and so unexpected too.

Most memorable race?

I went to Silverstone in 2022 and watching it live was very surreal. Also seeing Carlos’ first win, a Lewis podium, and going on track afterwards just made the day even better.

Favourite racing commentary moment?

Abu Dhabi 2021 will always stick out to me especially with the hype around that race.

Favourite driver?

It’s tricky to pick one! For the current grid, I like Lando Norris and Carlos Sainz. But for one favourite I’d have to say Danny Ric. Not on the current grid (but will always be my favourite) it is Mick Schumacher.

 Favourite team?

Again, I do like a few teams. I like Red Bull and Haas. However, I’d say my overall favourite is probably McLaren.

When did you start watching F1?

I started watching F1 a few years ago. Before that, I was into motorbikes (Isle of Man TT and ManxGP, and MotoGP).

Favourite race/Most memorable race?

I think my most memorable races have always been Silverstone. In 2022 when Sainz got his first win, in 2023 when Lando led the race for 4 laps. I also loved Singapore 2023, seeing Sainz not only driving excellently, but also strategising as he drove to get that first and only non-Red Bull GP win of the year. For a favourite circuit, I obviously love Silverstone and will be going this year, and the Red Bull Ring is fantastic too. But I’d say my overall favourite circuit has to be Spa.

Favourite racing commentary moment?

I remember getting goosebumps watching Silverstone 2022 during the battle between Perez, Leclerc, and Hamilton. Then Crofty comes out with “through goes Hamilton!” and it was a magic moment. Also, in 2018: “today in Monte Carlo, it’s redemption day for Daniel Ricciardo. He wins the Monaco Grand Prix”. Also, in 2021: “But the Championship can only be won by one, and it’s going Dutch in 2021. Max Verstappen, for the first time ever, is champion of the world!”

Favourite driver? Favourite team: Daniel Ricciardo and McLaren

When did you start watching F1?

I honestly can’t remember when I started watching I used to watch it with my mam as a child, she was a huge Jenson fan so I distinctly remember him winning his championship with Brawn GP. As I got older I didn’t really follow it as much but got back in to it at uni in 2018.

Favourite race/Most memorable race?

I think it’s hard for me to pin point a favourite race as every era and every season of F1 is so different and there are so many stand out moments. I do think Abu Dhabi 2021 will be a stand out for a long time, once you look past the controversy over the win. It was the second time in F1 history two drivers were equal on points in the final race of a season.

Favourite racing commentary moment?

I think my favourite commentary moment is “it’s redemption day for Daniel Ricciardo!” When Ricciardo won the Monaco Grand Prix in 2018. Monaco is always great but I think that was an incredible moment.

Favourite driver? Favourite team: Oscar Piastri/Lando Norris and McLaren

When did you start watching F1?

I grew up with the sport as my Uncle used to marshall quite a lot. I fell in love with it from a pretty much as soon as I was old enough to understand all the terminology.

Favourite race?

Silverstone 2023 will always be incredibly special to me as it was the first GP I got to attend with my Uncle. He got my into the sport and it was such an incredible moment getting to repay it and go together. I cannot explain the feeling when I saw Lando come through first at Luffield on the opening lap, a core memory for both of us.

Favourite racing commentary moment?

Whilst not directly commentary, the radio messages when Seb Vettel got his 2010 championship always make me cry. ‘You just you wait sunshine, you just wait’.

Honourable mention to ‘Its all a bit too much for little Lando Norris’. Crofty delivers some incredible one liners.

James Allen’s commentary on Vettel’s final lap before he won Monza 2008 to win his first GP and become the youngest race winner at that time.
