With just three more race weekends to go until the end of the season, two teams are vying for the Constructors’ Championship, and it could be three if Red Bull pulls off a dominant performance in the remaining races. Let’s analyse each team’s chances.

Given the limited overtaking opportunities on the final three race weekends, securing strong qualifying positions to maximise points each weekend will be key. Teams have to avoid DNFs to ensure they bring in as many points as possible in the race to the end of the season.

McLaren

Currently at the top with 593 points, Qatar will heavily favours them, especially with the Sprint race happening that weekend. Although the gap is around 40 points, with the recent performances, they can comfortably cruise to the end of the season. As long as Oscar Piastri manages to stay in line with Lando Norris and at the top, the title is sealed for the Papaya team.

Ferrari

While Ferrari has impressed fans by closing the gap and securing second place, they will have to rely on McLaren making mistakes. While it might seem easy to keep up given Ferrari’s recent performance, it’s not guaranteed. Despite Ferrari closing the gap to Red Bull, the 40-point deficit to McLaren remains too significant to comfortably challenge for the title. It would also take both the cars to stay on track and cannot afford to see anymore DNFs at any stage from now on.

Red Bull

Although on paper, Red Bull isn’t too far off from the other two teams, it seems unlikely that they’ll pull off a surprise win for the Constructors’ Championship. Unfortunately for this season, the team only saw one driver making big moves, and it would be almost impossible for Max Verstappen to score enough to get anywhere close to McLaren and Ferrari. He has the chance to secure the Drivers’ Championship this weekend, but those points won’t dethrone the other teams.

Even if the Driver’s Championship is sealed in Las Vegas this weekend, the Constructors Championship will almost definitely keep you on the edge of your seat until the end of the season at the Yas Marina Circuit.
