After thrilling races at Austin and Mexico, here is a round up of what has happened.
At Austin, Max Verstappen continued to his winning ways. His first place finish tightened the championship standings, continuing his current charge and put pressure on McLaren whose lead was getting smaller and smaller. Lando Norris had a good race as well, after some battles with Charles Leclerc, he took home second position. His teammate, Oscar Piastri, was further down the order, only good enough for fifth; seeing his championship lead cut shorter.
Whilst in Mexico, Norris clinched first place by half a minute over Charles Leclerc, completely in a league of his own. Verstappen charged to the finish in third place behind Leclerc, also gaining points on Piastri who had to settle for P5. This victory launched Norris to the top of the championship standings, where he now leads by one point.
Two successful weekends for Ferrari, including Leclerc’s second place in Mexico, moved Ferrari to second place in the Constructors’ Championship. They now sit one point above Mercedes.
Oliver Bearman had a great day in Mexico, getting his and Haas’ best finish of the season; P4. It moved Haas up to eighth in the standings.
