Oh Canada! The race that always delivers.
There have been many memorable moments at the Canadian Grand Prix including pitlane collisions between Hamilton and Raikkonen, THAT Vettel penalty, Button’s last lap win, the heavy Kubica’s crash and many more.
The Lewis Hamilton vs Fernando Alonso battle that had fans on the edge of their seat and a historic 100th win for Red Bull will become a part of that list.

Max Verstappen had yet another comfortable race out in front to take the historic Red Bull win and he was joined on the podium by Alonso in 2nd and Hamilton in 3rd.
After a good start Hamilton was ahead of Alonso going into the first corner and further back Sergio Perez was battling Carlos Sainz.
While trying to fight back at Hamilton Alonso scrapped the wall but seemed to not cause any damage as he was able to pick up the fastest lap.
On lap 7 Logan Sargeant was ordered to stop the car immediately due to a mechanical issue which caused a virtual safety car while the marshals cleared the car from the runoff area. The virtual safety car didn’t last long but it helped bunch the back of the pack up which allowed Charles Leclerc and Lando Norris to fight for 8th place.
A DRS train started with Nico Hulkenberg in 7th place and while they tried to fight for more points the battle for 2nd place continued but was stopped when a safety car was brought out after George Russel collided with the wall causing debris to cover the track. The Mercedes driver was able to continue into the pits for new tires and a quick patch up.
While the yellow flag was shown both Alonso and Hamilton entered the pits for hard tyres but there was a close call while they left but no penalty was given after an investigation.
The DRS train had expanded in the back starting 7th place with Esteban Ocon and amongst the battles was the McLarens fighting for 11th.

Alonso was able to overtake Hamilton for 2nd place
Norris was given a 5 second penalty for ‘unsportsmanlike behaviour’ after he slowed down under the safety car to create space between himself and the car in front.
Russel was able to make his way to 8th place after his collision with the wall but ended up having to retire from the race with 15 laps to go.
Ocon’s rear wing caught the attention of Norris as it wobbled from side to side which seemed to be an aspect of the new upgrades.
Despite Verstappen taking the checkered flag the fighting for places continued as Ocon and Norris continued battling and Stroll took 10th place at the line from Bottas which upgraded to 9th after Norris’s penalty was put in place.
Perez took the fastest lap on the last lap.
Alex Albon was voted driver of the day after he finished 7th place.
