Not only did Max Verstappen take a record-breaking victory with a 10th win in a row and this means that Red Bull have won every single race so far this season, but he also broke the Monza curse and has won at the track 2 years in a row.

Sergio Perez came second giving Red Bull another 1:2 and after a heavy battle with his teammate, pole sitter Carlos Sainz crossed the line in 3rd place.

After a delayed start due to Yuki Tsunoda’s car stopped on the first formation lap the race began with Sainz taking advantage of his pole position and stayed in front of the championship leader.

George Russel was battling with Charles Leclerc for 3rd place for quite a few laps until Sergio Perez joined in behind the Mercedes driver. While Leclerc was able to loose the fighting pair behind him the battle for 4th continued for a while until Perez overtook.

While the battle for 4th raged on, the battle for 1st was starting, Sainz was able to defend well until the Red Bull was able to overtake him and become the race leader.

The tyres seemed to be struggling because of the warm track temperature and with people going into the pits Oscar Piastri was able to lead a race for the first time in his career.

After a collision with Lewis Hamilton the McLaren driver sustained front wing damage, the Mercedes driver got a 5 second time penalty for the incident just like his teammate who received a 5 second time penalty for overtaking Esteban Ocon off track

Ocon also did not finish the race without anyone noticing because there was so much action going on the track.

Alex Albon showed his defensive skills as he had to defend from other drivers for the majority of the race and finished 7th.

Ferrari got a lot of screen time as the teammates battled for the last podium place with 1st and 2nd going to the Red Bulls, in the end Sainz was able to defend his position and gained his podium place in the home of his team.

All together Monza did not disappoint and everyone will be hoping that the track with continue on the F1 calendar.
